Bayshore Preserve is 74 acres on the Bayshore Peninsula on the western shore of Oakland Bay, Puget Sound. The property features 27 acres of pristine salt marsh habitat, over 4,000 feet of shoreline, and the lower portion of Johns Creek.
Managed by Capitol Land Trust, 47 acres of the preserve is an old golf course being restored to native habitat including salt marsh, streams and uplands. There is a rudimentary trail system here, but WTA is working to improve it to allow access to the preserve while protecting restoration efforts.
