The Brink Trail is a visually pleasant walk around the north edge of I-90, near Tradition and Round Lakes.

"Brink" refers to the steep, heavily wooded slope to the north. Somewhere down there I-90 is hidden; though it can't be seen, the traffic noise is a constant.

Add in loops on the Big Tree Trail, Puget Power, or the Adventure Trail to the Gas Line and Bus Trails to extend your hike, or simply amble along the Brink Trail until you're ready to turn around.

Getting There

From I-90 take exit 20 and then turn right onto the frontage road parallel-ing the interstate. In just under 0.5 mile the road ends at a gate. The gate opens daily, though it is closed and locked at 7:00 PM. Park outside the gate if you'll be returning late in the day. Otherwise, continue another 0.4 mile to the Tradition Plateau trailhead.
