This lake is tucked away in the hills on the north side of the Mountain Loop Highway. The trail itself follows the route of a decommissioned forest road, so it is wide with a gentle grade.

Follow this trail as it traverses across a ravine and around a high point before arriving at the lake, which sits at the bottom of a fairly steep bowl. The lake straddles the boundary for the Boulder River Wilderness, but sits mostly within the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
