Enjoy this wooded trail leading to a ridge featuring a rock outcropping overlooking the town of Wenatchee. It's a nice hike spring through fall, even offering a way to escape the heat of summer in the valley.

From the parking area at 3340 feet, hike along the road for 1.2 miles to the parking area at 4000 feet. It's another half mile to a junction in the road, where you'll make a left. After a short distance, arrive at a gate with a sign indicating 'End of County Road'. Here, motorized vehicles must stop; only hikers and mountain bikers are allowed on the rest of the trail.

Passing the gate, continue hiking up the road for another third of a mile. Radio towers hove into view as the road makes a bend to the right and begins climbing; hang left here, toward the ridgeline.

On the ridgeline, you will proceed west toward Eagle Rock, spotting a steep switchbacking trail up its east side. Follow this trail to the top at 4522 feet. It's exposed up here. Be careful with your footing and keep an eye on kiddos.
