The McTavish Woodridge Open Space Loop Trail is a testament to community coming together to preserve an area. Local residents helped preserve this 20-acre forest; an integral piece of the Richards Valley Greenway.

Meander along steep slopes and cross small trickling streams that feed Richards Creek over sturdy bridges. You'll pass through fir, cedar, and maple trees that provide calm spots for respite as well as protect the hillside from erosion. Wildlife abounds here as well, thanks to these tall trees.

Getting There

You can go in either at the northern end of 128th and approach the open space area to the northwest of the map clockwise or at the eastern end of 17th and hit the southeastern loop first.

Parking is very scarce at this trailhead and is mostly on street parking in front of houses. Please be respectful, as for now there are not any no parking signs.

SE 9th Place has the best access, with room for about 10+ cars. If you want to go carless, is also possible to walk directly from the bus stop at SE 8th and Lake Hills Connector.
