Shellrock Peak offers spectacular views of Mount Adams, the Goat Rocks, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Rainier. For geology enthusiasts, you can find some close-up looks at columnar rocks!
Shellrock Peak Trail 1132 does not actually summit Shellrock Peak. Rather, the trail runs on the east side of the Peak, connecting Ironstone 1141 with Rattlesnake Trail 1114.
To summit the peak, start at the Cash Prairie Trailhead and hike along Ironstone Mountain 1141 until you reach the Shellrock Peak 1132 junction. Hike a little further down and then you'll need to do some route finding and bushwhacking to the south shoulder of Shellrock Peak. Then it's a short scramble up to the peak.
WTA Pro Tip: There is no water on this hike, so be sure to bring enough water with you.
