The Sunrise Lake trail is part of the extensive Sawtooth Backcountry Trail system. It is a difficult and steep hike to a gorgeous blue mountain lake with seasonal wildflowers and fall colors. On way to access Sunrise Lake is to start at the Foggy Dew Creek trail. The trail meets with the Sunrise Lake trail section after about 6.2 miles. The final one mile section up to the lake is a steep climb up to Sunrise Lake itself.

(for Foggy Dew Creek trailhead) From Twisp take State Route 20 east for 3 miles, then at the junction with State Route 153 take Okanogan County Road 1029 to County Road 1034, which joins with Forest Service Road 4340. Travel Forest Service Road 4340, and then take Forest Service Road 4340-200 to the trailhead at the end of the road.
