Day hike
My nearly 11-year old daughter and I made this our first hike and loved it! It was tougher than we expected as the grade steepens in the final mile and we never knew close we were to the top. But when we finally reached the lake, the view was phenomenal and well worth the work to get there. My daughter was a great hiker and while our legs were tired for the hike back down, she never complained because the trail was so interesting and the view so spectacular. We did learn that hiking sticks are helpful - particularly to help balance when crossing the rocky streams. We used the lower trail both up and back as it was so fun and we heard the upper trail is not as interesting. Great views of the rapids and waterfalls!
